What an interesting time we have had in South Africa! I am still trying to get used to having people drive on the left side of the road and having the steering wheel on the left side of the vehicle!
Today I tried Biltong made from Kudu, Springbok, and Ostrich. Biltong is a South African delicacy that is similar to Jerky in Canada except that it is dried instead of cooked.
Today was also a first for animal sightings as we saw Baboons, Ostriches, and yes my first poisonous snake (just a little guy).
It is with a great deal of sadness that we leave South Africa tomorrow. The people at FCE have been wonderful and their mission and vision is very compelling...I feel fortunate to have met them. Tomorrow morning we are up at 4:30 in the morning and headed to the airport to fly to Namibia...the adventure continues!
I knew there would be snakes...
