We have arrived safely in Windhoek Namibia! Today we have taken a few hours to experience the sights of the Capital city. The pictures below will give you a taste of our experience today. The first picture is our view from the plane as we flew over the desert in Namibia. The second is of Christuskirche, the oldest Lutheran church in Namibia (a major landmark), and the third is a downtown view of Windhoek.
This afternoon we are off to the FCE rest camp where we will meet more of the FCE staff and learn about their work in Namibia. I am a little nervous about our visit as we are moving into snake territory and they have a Cobra that they caught last night to show us upon our arrival! Look for pictures in my next posting!
Todd you certainly have been very busy. The lush green scenery looks fabulous by comparison to the projected 20 odd centimeters of snow projected for us.
